Denominations

Jesus in John 17:21 prayed that “they all would be one”. In Romans 10:12-13 Paul writes that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile that any who call upon the Lord will be saved. Paul does this again in Galatins 3:28. The Lord does not mince words and wherever in Scripture something is repeated more than once, this should alert us to the fact that the Lord considers it important and so should we. Kathryn Kuhlman, the healing evangelist of the 60’s and 70’s, once said regarding denominations “it doesn’t matter to God so why should it matter to me?” All believers are part of the body of Christ and the sooner we recognize this fact and begin to concentrate on our commonalties verses our differences, the sooner we can get on with the Lord’s work in bringing people to a knowledge of Christ Jesus. As the Promise Keepers song says “Let the Walls Fall Down”.
