His Lips are on the Trumpet

The wife of a local a pastor was driving in Winchester recently and saw a male hitch-hiker.  While not inclined to pick him up, she drove past him, but was convicted to give him a ride.  So she turned around and picked him up.  They drove together for a while making small talk when the hitch-hiker exclaimed “His lips are on the trumpet”.  When she turned to look at him he had totally disappeared.  Naturally she freaked out and called the police on her cell phone.  The police operator said that this was the third time this type of incident had been reported.  Are you ready?

Faith Festival

This past Saturday, May 16, as the Town of Purcellville was celebrating its heritage, we held our first ever Faith Festival to celebrate our heritage in Jesus Christ. We had over 20 vendors, live music by Restored Life Fellowship, a silent auction, and a dog adoption by Walk by Faith Ministry. It was an AWESOME time and our Heavenly Father blessed us beyond what we hoped for. One young girl with her atheist father standing by accepted the Lord, individual needs were prayed for, Bibles were given away and the love of the Lord shown forth. Words can not express our thanks to all who participated, supported and enjoyed the First Annual Faith Festival. To God be the glory!!

God is Good!

With the economic meltdown occuring all around us, we are keeping our eyes on Jesus. Isaiah 48:15 says “I the Lord, I have called him, I have brought him and his way will prosper.” As we near our 15th anniversary we give our Father praise, honor and glory for sustaining us and this, His Shoppe.
